Delnor Health Care Foundation shares the mission of Delnor Health System, to provide excellence in health care and to promote lifelong wellness in the communities we serve.
Foundation staff and the board of directors work hard every day to advance philanthropy for Delnor Hospital, Delnor Glen Senior Living, and LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. The Foundation is also supported by volunteer and fundraising groups such as the Delnor Auxiliary, the Delnor Men’s Foundation, the Volunteer Department and the NewLife Family Committee. Thanks to the hard work and generosity of the community, the foundation raises over $1.5 million annually.
We are deeply grateful to all who make a philanthropic investment in Delnor. Our donors include community members, board members, employees, grateful patients, physicians and many other generous people and organizations who share our passion for excellent health care.
Improving Excellence
Since its founding nearly a decade ago, Delnor Health System has evolved from a small hospital to a modern medical facility offering state-of-the-art health care in a community hospital setting. As the area's premier healthcare facility, Delnor provides sophisticated and compassionate medical care to the far western suburbs of Chicago.
Our Current Projects:
- Three-Story Addition – As the number of patients we serve continues to rise, the bed-expansion project at Delnor is necessary to keep pace with the area’s rapid population growth and demand for inpatient care. The bed-expansion project, includes construction of a three-story, 100,000 square-foot expansion to the northwest side of the hospital, with the 2nd and 3rd floors housing private patient rooms and the lower level and first floor providing more space for outpatient and support services. The project will increase the hospital’s bed capacity from 128 – 159.
Our Recent Accomplishments:
- 64 Slice CT Scan – The latest in imaging technology is now available at Delnor. The “64 slice” CT Scan equipment which provides incredibly clear and detailed images of the human body. This aids Delnor radiologists in making the most accurate diagnosis possible for our patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including bone and joint injuries, heart disease and cancer.
- New Radiology System – Delnor’s Radiology Department introduced a state-of-the-art system for MRI, CT Scan, ultrasound and nuclear medicine images. The technology replaces the use of film with digital process that enables doctors to view test results from their office or home computer rather than having to wait to receive film work. This translates into faster and more efficient services for our medical staff and patients.

More people than ever rely on Delnor Hospital for outpatient and inpatient services. Last year, Delnor Hospital experienced a 93% occupancy rate. Outpatient visits also reached an all-time record. Thousands more turned to Delnor Hospital as a resource for health screenings, wellness programs, educational workshops, support groups, LivingWell, Delnor Glen Senior Living, and more.
Delnor Health Care Foundation recognizes the importance of providing high quality medical care while anticipating the future health care needs of the community. That means providing continuing education for staff and purchasing new technology to provide patients with sophisticated treatments.

Delnor Health Care Foundation was founded in 1986 to raise philanthropic capital required to build the new Delnor Hospital. Today, our Foundation raises funds for important capital improvements and launching many new programs and services and is deeply committed to bringing the finest medical care to our community.
