Your
Room
 |
After completing the admission process, you will be assigned a
room. Your room assignment is based on your admitting diagnosis and bed
availability on the day of your admission. Nursing staff will orient you to the
features in your room. | Calling For
Assistance
Your nurse and patient care technician carry portable
phones. You may use the provided phone to contact them at any
time.
Television
| Television sets
are provided free of charge in each room. The television guide is on
channel 95. The remote is located at your bedside.
Please be considerate
of other patients by playing television sets softly and by turning
off your set at bedtime.

Thermostat
For your comfort, each room has its own thermostat. Please ask the
nursing staff to assist you in adjusting it to your level of comfort.
Your
Bed
Your hospital bed is electrically controlled for your
convenience and comfort. By using the bed control, you can raise and lower
the head and foot with ease. Hospital beds are at a much higher level from the
floor than you may be accustomed to at home so be careful. It is advisable
to lower the bed to its lowest position before getting out of bed. Side rails
are provided for your protection. If you need assistance to get out of bed
please press the call button or dial your nurse's four digit phone
number.
