Delnor's Cardiac Catheterization Lab is a
premier facility in the far west suburbs. Utilizing the Philips Integris
Allura Imaging System with Dynamic Flat Detector technology, physicians are able
to evaluate and treat critical cardiac blockages faster and more accurately
while exposing patients to less radiation. Delnor was one of the first
hospitals in the entire Northern Illinois region, including Chicago, to have
this technology. It is a quantum improvement in the cardiac care being
offered to area patients.
But advanced technology isn't all that distinguishes the Delnor Cath Lab
from others. Delnor cath patients benefit from a full service
facility prepared to stabilize and care for the most critical cardiac patients as
well as routinely scheduled patients. The comprehensive design of the facility allows patients'
pre-testing, procedure and recovery to be completed all in the same area
providing the ultimate continuity of care and a high degree of comfort with their
surroundings as well as the staff caring for them.
Our Cath Lab is adjacent to our state-of-the-art
Emergency Department. When every second is at stake, being able to take a
patient basically around the corner to undergo their procedure can make a big
difference in a patient's outcome. Only about 20 percent of all U.S.
hospitals have a cath lab available to their patients and even fewer have the
cath lab built so closely to the emergency department.
Dedicated reserved parking spaces for cardiac patients are located just steps away from the
north entrance of the hospital providing patients easy access for cardiac
services.
