Volunteer’s Make a Difference
Last year, volunteers contributed more than 50,000 hours to Delnor, the equivalent of 24 full-time employees. Volunteers are part of the Delnor family and help make Delnor a warm and friendly hospital.
There are opportunities for everyone to help. Volunteers assist in nearly every area of the hospital. Assignments are based on your availability, interests and skills. Volunteer opportunities include:
|

Greeters
Clerical Support
Flower and mail delivery

Delnor Glen
And Much, Much More! |
The goal of our volunteer program is to reduce stress for patients and their family members enabling them to relax, therefore making their stay at Delnor a positive one. Volunteers must be comfortable with patients/families, sensitive to their needs and possess interpersonal skills.
Our program operates seven days a week with daytime and evening hours. Volunteer hours are tailored to meet your individual schedule. All volunteers are required to attend a three hour volunteer orientation. Junior volunteers (high school) will be asked to remit $10.00 towards the cost of their uniform. We do not wish to cause concern for anyone and are happy to waive this cost when appropriate. Please feel free to call our office at the number below with any questions.
