The Sleep Disorder Center at Delnor is among the very few in Illinois accredited by the American Sleep Disorder Association (ASDA). Patients referred to the Sleep Center will be evaluated by a certified sleep physician prior to undergoing a comprehensive set of evaluations. If a sleep study is recommended, you will spend one or two nights in a home-like bedroom setting where you will be monitored for several physiological responses including heart rate, oxygen saturation, brain wave activity and limb movement, to name a few. You'll leave our Sleep Lab to resume your normal daytime schedule while the results of the study will be reviewed by physicians with special training in sleep medicine. They will then discuss their recommendations with your primary care physician, who will follow up with any necessary treatment or medication .
