Going Home

When it’s time to take your new baby home, many parents feel anxious about their ability to handle the responsibility, and that’s completely normal.  We’ll be there to support you all the way.  Your mother/baby nurse will review with you two special books written by the staff of NewLife Maternity entitled, “Caring for Yourself” and "Caring for Your Baby."  These books are full of information, helpful tips and additional resources.

Hello, this is “Warm Line”

Once you’re at home, you may still have questions.  Just call our Warm Line at (630)208-4070, and we’ll put you in touch with a registered nurse, anytime of the day or night, to get you the answers you need.

Breastfeeding Support

The services offered by our certified lactation consultants don’t stop once you leave the hospital.  NewLife’s Breastfeeding Resource Center services are available to all moms whether they delivered their baby at Delnor or elsewhere.  A physician order is required to meet with the lactation consultants.  To schedule an appointment, call (630)208-4068.

For additional support, you are invited to attend the Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group .  This group meets every Monday (except holidays) from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the NewLife Maternity Center.  You are welcome to bring your baby along.  No registration is required.
