Quality Infusion Care in an Outpatient Setting

The Outpatient Infusion Center (OPIC) at Delnor offers convenience for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines.  We work with a diverse population of patients, such as:

• Cancer Care patients undergoing chemotherapy and supportive services
• Patients with blood disorders
• Patients requiring intravenous antibiotics
• Other patients who require intravenous treatments, eliminating the need for an inpatient hospital stay

The Outpatient Infusion Center specializes in intravenous (IV) treatments.  Services and treatments provided include:

• IV Antibiotic therapy
• Central line catheter care
• Chemotherapy
• Hydration therapy
• Injection services
• Inotropic therapy
• Medication Infusions
• PICC/Midline insertions
• Synagis Clinic
• Therapeutic phlebotomy
• Transfusions of blood

Supplemental services support the clinical care.  To create an optimal experience, our team also provides:

• Assessment and evaluation
• Educational and instructional materials
• Providing updates to the primary physician to coordinate the patients care & promote the best treatment outcomes

Empowering Patients

Delnor’s outpatient infusion center allows patients more control in scheduling an appointment that is more convenient for them. Instead of having to be admitted to the hospital or visit a busy emergency room for treatment, patients can make an appointment and receive their infusions in a convenient and comfortable setting.  Our patients receive their infusion while relaxing in a recliner & watching television, listening to music, reading or simply resting.

Our Staff

Infusion services are provided by a staff of experienced registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy.  There are registered nurses in our center who also have advanced certification in IV therapy, Cancer Care and/or pediatrics.

Location and Hours

There are two OPIC locations for you to receive outpatient infusion care – both are located on the Delnor Hospital campus. One is located on the first floor of the hospital, just past the front lobby.  The second location is in the Medical Office Building – attached to the main hospital, (Suite LL30) in the lower level. 

OPIC (Main Hospital) Hours: 

• Monday – Friday                            8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday - Sunday & Holidays    8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

OPIC (Medical Office Building) Hours:  

• Monday – Friday                            8:00 a.m. –  4:30 p.m.
