Spiritual Care
Providing Comfort
A surgery or hospital stay can be a frightening, anxious or lonely time for patients and their families. At Delnor, chaplains are available around the clock to provide confidential emotional and spiritual support, individual or family counseling, and assistance in contacting clergy of all faiths.
Chaplains
The professional chaplains at Delnor have completed comprehensive training and are constantly furthering their knowledge to meet the special demands they face in a hospital setting. They are available to be present with you and/or your loved ones; and they will never impose religious preferences or personal philosophies on patients or families. Spiritual Care services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Please call the Spiritual Care office if (630) 208-4321 if you have any questions or would like to request that we see your loved one during their hospital stay.

The Chapel
Patients at Delnor and their families and friends are often struggling with pain, suffering and life-threatening illnesses. A chapel is located off the main hospital lobby at Delnor Hospital. The chapel is open 24 hours a day. All are welcome to use the chapel for quiet meditation and reflection.
Supporting Spiritual Care
At Delnor, our chaplains make thousands of visits a year to patients and their families, providing emotional and spiritual support through compassionate listening and presence, ritual and/or prayer. Our chaplains also provide individual or family counseling and assistance in contacting spiritual leaders in all faith traditions. Delnor chaplains also serve as bereavement resources for the community and provide support and counseling to Delnor staff. Please don't hesitate to reach out to local spiritual services.
