Food and Nutrition
Patient Food Service
Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. Delnor makes every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your physician’s orders.
Patients Meal schedules are as follows:
Occasionally your meal may be delayed if you are scheduled for a special test or treatment. Whenever possible you will be served after your examination or test.
Pre-Ordered Meals:
Your breakfast tray will include a menu from which you can order your meals for the next day. Please mark your menu so it will be ready for pickup by 9:45 a.m.
Bedside Meals:
If a family member or friend wants to eat in your room with you, the person may go to the cafeteria, buy a meal there, and take it back to your room. Another option is arranging to have a guest meal tray delivered to your room for $6.00.
Vending Machines:
Vending machines, located in the Delnor dining room, provide a variety of freshly prepared meals and drinks. The vending machine area is available 24 hours-a-day. A microwave is also available in the vending area for use.
Dining Room
Delnor’s dining room, located on the first floor, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It offers a salad bar, hot meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hot meals are served at the following times:
Visitors can pay for meals with cash only. For your convenience, an ATM machine is located near the lobby.
Atrium Café
The Atrium Café, located off the main lobby, proudly serves Starbucks™ Coffee, as well as a variety of teas, fruit smoothie drinks, juices, water and milk. The Atrium Café also has delicious snacks that include, but are not limited to, gourmet muffins, cookies, scones, brownies and pastries. The Atrium Café accepts cash only, and is open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call ext. 5879.
