- Nursing is offered on all units including specialty areas - Magnet nursing thrives at Delnor * Start as a novice nurse and work towards being an expert nurse * Nurses are encouraged to participate in decision making for nursing care via the Shared Decision Making (SDM) model that Delnor utilizes to facilitate best nursing practice.
Nursing Resource Team
- The Nursing Resource Team at Delnor Hospital is our float pool - Currently there are two float pools * The GWEN (Go Where Ever Needed) team * The experienced float pool (EFP) * Both float pools cover staffing needs of the entire hospital on all shifts, every day
GWEN
- Includes Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians - Completion of New Graduate Program - Float within the Three Medical-Surgical Units - Holiday Rotation - Full benefits based on status hours of 20 or more per week
EFP
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience - Opportunity to float to: * Medical-Surgical * Intensive Care Unit (ICU) * Pediatrics * New Life Maternity Center (NLMC) * Same Day Surgery (SDS) * ER * OPIC * Home Health * Cardiac Rehab * Overflow staffing for high census days - Current BLS and ACLS certifications - Medical/Surgical RN Certification - Holiday Rotation - Pay differential - Full benefits based on status hours of 20 or more per week
Registry Program
- Offered on Medical-Surgical Units and Specialty Units - Commitment of 48 hours per month - CPR certification and any required certification for specialty units - 1 Summer and 1 Winter Holiday rotation per year - Benefits include: * Charge Differential * Shift Differential * Holiday Differential * Weekend Differential * Continuing Education * Retirement Plan if appropriate * Employee Referral/Recruitment bonus * Applicable bonus programs
