Thomas L. Wright Promoted to President of Delnor Hospital
The Board of Directors for Delnor-Community Health System has promoted Thomas L. Wright to President of Delnor-Community Hospital, effective July 1, 2008.
“This well-deserved honor recognizes Tom’s 22 years of exemplary performance and dedicated service to our patients, physicians, staff and community,” says Board Chairman Roger Harris.” Since 1996, he has served as Chief Operating Officer, and previous to that Tom was Chief Financial Officer for 10 years. During that time, he led the organization through a cultural transformation that has achieved high standards of service excellence. He also is passionate about making Delnor a leader in our community for quality care.”
As president, Wright will be responsible for all aspects of the hospital in providing efficient and effective provision of quality patient care. Craig A. Livermore will remain the Chief Executive Officer of Delnor-Community Health System focusing on the planning and coordination of its activities and those of the subsidiaries.
Wright graduated with both a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In addition, Wright has a long-standing commitment to the community through his involvement in the St. Charles Kiwanis Club, the Heartland Blood Bank, the American Cancer Society Regional Board, and the Board of Trustees at the Batavia Covenant Church.
“While these credentials are impressive, perhaps Tom’s most important qualifications are the exceptional leadership, caring and commitment he displays every day to the Delnor family and those we serve,” says Livermore. “The Board of Directors and I are confident Tom will bring the same passion and results-oriented leadership to his new position that he has to his other roles at Delnor over the years.”
