GENEVA, Ill., March 22, 2011 -- Don’t miss the chance to laugh for a good cause! The Delnor Foundation invites the community to its Laughter Is The Best Medicine comedy night event on Saturday, April 9, featuring professional comedian Daren Streblow. The evening starts at 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased at www.supportdelnor.org. Attendees will enjoy an evening of comedy, appetizers and desserts, as well as the opportunity to take part in silent auction opportunities that will support the cause.
Proceeds will benefit Delnor’s Healthy Families, Healthy Kids program, which aims to save young lives by lowering local rates of childhood obesity and diabetes. Currently one out of every five children living in Kane County are overweight and at risk of developing diabetes as they grow into adulthood. This program provides those at risk with the tools they need to live healthier lives today, and tomorrow.
